Antiquities

2010-02-12-AntiquitiesGreetings antiquated Fold!

The answer to the question posed in the comic is… Yes, but it shouldn’t be.

I’ve been a faithful Simpsons fan since I was a kid, but… it’s just bad.  The jokes aren’t as funny and they keep stretching for some sort of moral value that they believe they have, but they were funnier when they had no redeeming value.

What do you think?

I kind of like the direction the show has gone, unlike family guy or American dad they have taken a few serious stances from time to time that actually mean something. Sure it is nice to have a brain dead show but throwing everything out all the time just doesn't make sense.

I don't think the Simpsons is any more political or moralistic than Family Guy. I can very clearly tell what Seth MacFarlane's political and moral leanings are. But Family Guy doesn't sacrifice humor in order to beat you over the head with a political point.
