Someone explain the physics of whether or not you would actually feel a kick from a hyperdrive in space. Science?
PS. Find out how you can help with the launch of my Kickstarter campaign by clicking here.
If my memory serves correctly, you would feel the kick (the force on your body is mass times acceleration). The sudden acceleration would do all sorts of interesting things to your body. For an interesting story on this stuff, you should check out Dr. Stapp’s experiments in deceleration.
For a simple answer, yes, during the moments when it’s actually accelerating you would feel it like false gravity in the opposite direction but once you were no longer accelerating it would stop.
