Flock Of Clocks

2009-10-30-Flock-of-ClocksGreetings rule-abiding Fold!

There’s nothing quite like interdimensional travel to force you to jump through some hoops.  Like the obligatory light tunnel.  Seriously.

Quick!  Name all the movies that utilize this technique! Go!

  1. every movie about time and inter-dimensional travel and the vast majority of movies that feature interstellar travel.

i didn't have time to look up every single movie name because there are so many.

  2. I can only think of one that didn't, but it was a cartoon, not a movie. Do you remember a cartoon from Saturday mornings back in the day, "The Valley of the Dinosaurs"…That family fell in a whirlpool in the Amazon. No light.

  3. The movie Stargate (with Kurt Russell/James Spader) rocks with this swirly “stars flying by” phenomena. And Contact with Jody Foster used this technique in an unusual way.
But I mostly think of TV shows…so here it goes:
Dr Who (some obscure TV show I watched as a kid on PBS).
OH speaking of great kid shows that use weird time travel tunnels – how about Land of the Lost (circa 1974) – best show ever…okay not ever – but it was really really good.
And I miss "Sliders" (ran in the late 90s) with Jerry O'Connell. Good stuff, used the 'worm-hole' to pop in and out of places.

    1. Dr. Who isn't obscure anymore… it was remade on the SciFi (Syfy) channel or the BBC… I don't really remember where it was first. Anyway, it was very popular.

    1. Actually, I don&#039t think Time Cop had a tunnel of light… Oh! and the Time Machine (old and newer)… they didn&#039t either.
