actually John Connor's dad didn't try to change the future he tried to keep it the same, the terminator was trying to change the future.
Also, they constanty change the future in Star Trek and Star Gate … oh and that freaky movie the Butterfly Effect. Did u ever see the alternate ending? That ain't right.
