I recently became a slight-less-starving artist by completing my first commissioned illustration!
Based on a pretty great poem, I was tasked with drawing a frog with personality.
I did a lot of sketches of frogs since I hadn’t really drawn one. I posted pictures of my sketches on Instagram (here, here and here). That was fun!
In the end, I drew this dude:
His smirk won over my client, and we made some more tweaks to add the poem to the layout, but the frog smirks on.
