It’s in so many video games from newer titles like The Witcher 3 (featured above) to Metal Gear Solid 5 to older games like Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. A plague of uncrossable ankle-high walls.
I don’t know how many video games you’ve played, but if you’ve played anything other than Super Mario Bros., you’ve likely encountered this very silly game mechanic where a character who can run and jump and do magic and everything cannot for the life of him cross over an ankle-high threshold.
It’s almost always arbitrary so that you have to go the long way around… and that’s what you get.
