What Ron DeSantis and his FL Department of Education are doing is an old white supremacist tactic they tried and succeeded with (unfortunately) after the Civil War. “Actually it wasn’t so bad” is an old way to say the same thing over and over again…They’re looking to excuse the atrocities of chattel slavery and it’s gross.
And…it’s super-racist.
