NOTE: As I move forward with the relaunching of The Underfold, one thing that I want to do is eliminate random advertising from my website altogether. In order to effectively do that while maintaining a revenue source, I will be doing book reviews of graphic novels (for the most part) and other illustrated works and providing Amazon affiliate links for you to (hopefully) purchase aforementioned books. I will then be creating my own ads for the reviewed book and placing it in the footer. These are all hand-selected products and come with a review of why I like it. So, you know, if you like The Underfold and good books… 😀
In the first of a series of reviews, I’m going to kick it off with a book that I absolutely love and one that some friends just sent me in the mail: All my friends are dead. by Avery Monsen and Jory John.
I read this for the first time a while ago. A friend of mine had a copy of it, and I read through it quite quickly since it had a dinosaur on it. It’s a short read, and really doesn’t have much to do with dinosaurs, rather it has everything to do with death.
And, I must say, for such a terribly depressing topic, All my friends are dead has the wonderful way that makes you laugh all the way through. It’s easily the funniest book I’ve ever read about death.
Now, this is no heavy read. You could probably read it standing at the bookstore, but it is a great table top book. It’s a great conversation piece, and it’s bound to make everyone laugh. So, buy one for yourself, then show it to everyone. It’s very funny.
It’s at this point, where although I want you to buy this book through my affiliate links because it will help me continue to do The Underfold, but this book and it’s sequel are available to read for free online, and I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you about it!
