Greetings self-deprecating Fold!
This is just a quick note to all the creators out there, very much like myself, who down on themselves constantly. I had a realization this morning.
If you’re posting content online for the world to see, and anyone actually sees it and likes it. Then we all need to stop saying that it’s stupid, or crappy. Even if you only have one fan in the world, by constantly calling what they like (your work in this scenario) stupid you are, in fact, saying that they are stupid for enjoying it.
Someone finds value in your work, so you should too.
This is a note to myself as much as anyone else for this Monday morning. So let’s all get out there and make something awesome.

How very true! This definitely deserves a RT!
Thank you!
Ha ha… truth. When I tell people about my comic I often say, “It’s really weird… you might have to a read a lot before it makes any sense.” Which, I guess, is true, but I should probably let people figure that out (or not) for themselves.
I don’t know. I think that’s a valid point to make when telling people about a long-running comic. I know for me, when I’m in the midst of a storyline, I debate about that sort of thing.
First of all make sure you enjoy making it.
And then everything else becomes just an extra bonus.
Agreed!
I think I’m finally getting fiction out there that people really enjoy. Sometimes I even enjoy it myself. Still, I feel like I’m my own worst enemy, but I also think I’m improving to the point where I’m at least okay.
My goal has always been to make myself laugh. If I don’t enjoy what I’m writing, how can I expect anyone else to?
