Today’s Friday 5 isn’t completely self-serving for me, but there are a few links that I realized that I never showed you that are, frankly, all about me and things that I’ve done. BUT THEY ARE IMPORTANT. There are also two other comics that aren’t mine, so that’s something.
- Camping Trip from Buttersafe
Buttersafe is part of my top 5 webcomics. One of the many reasons is because a lot of their humor is subtle, subdued and dry. It’s also fairly clean, so that helps. This is one of the perfect examples of why I like them. (For more, check out this one because it’s my absolute favorite.) - Slashing Jobs from Colmics
This comic was one of many Halloween-based comics I read this week. Seemingly standard, this comic made me bust out laughing for the hovertext. And sometimes, clever hovertext is exactly what gets you on here. - Hot Tub Nostalgia Machine: A Link to the Past from Jackson Ferrell
Long title aside, Jackson came to me with this idea to have myself guest star in a comic. He proposed this comic and I said something along the lines of this is pretty funny, but it’s wrong. I then pretty much wrote the next comic… - It’s Not Like We Played These Games for the Plot, Anyway from Jackson Ferrell (and me)
Jackson is a sport. He took my criticisms and made a comic of it. This is a clean, succinct version of our conversation and it is hilarious. Also, I love his version of my character and kind of want him to just draw my comics from now on. - Adventures of Abe and Mr. Pennybags: The Native on Funny Shorts
Remember these guys? Yeah. This comic went up last month, but I was a bit busy with baby duties. I’m showing you this one, but if you’re a fan of Neil Gaiman or comics, than you’ll like Funny Shorts, so go for Adventures, stay for their comics.
Do you know of or make a comic that is awesome and/or hilarious? Leave me a link in the comments. I’ll check it out, and you might make it up on the list one Friday!

Buttersafe is a great comic. My two favorites of all time:
Skeleton Harvester
The Brothers
I actually used the scenario from “The Brothers” in one of my sillier pen-and-paper RPG sessions.
I feel mine are self-explanatory.
